REFLECTIONS ON THE GIFTS OF PENTECOST - PART 11
“And on the day of Pentecost, this new teacher comes, and they go out at once to preach their gospel with new power. They are the bold and courageous followers of a living Lord, not a dead and defeated leader. The Master lives in the hearts of these evangelists; God is not a doctrine in their minds; he has become a living presence in their souls.” [UB, 194:4.2] [Emphasis added]
Thought Adjuster: “What a bestowal it was! The outpour of Spirit that occurred on the day of Pentecost and ever since in the HEART and MIND of sincere believers ACTUALIZED for them the threefold presence of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Even though faith is still a requirement for those living in worlds not settled in light and life who share the status of Agodonters—those who believe without seeing, it was a profound and life-altering spiritual experience.
Previously, God was an interpretation in the human mind, relying heavily on hearsay. Jesus changed all that by pioneering the establishment of a personal relationship with ‘his heavenly Father.’ He connected with the ‘living Father in his soul’ and demonstrated that such an intimate connection is within human reach since he lived his earthly life as a full-fledged human of the realm.
In order to facilitate this most precious interaction, after his death, he gifted humankind with a new Teacher—his Spirit of Truth—so that he could accompany you in your inner voyage to the Father. “Noone comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Who else could better point the way to the Father? The one who mapped it out and divulged the fact of the Father’s living presence within you and whose calling is to teach you the universal language of the heart—how to sincerely worship your Maker.”
