FLUENT IN SILENCE
FLUENT IN SILENCE
Shh! I wish to become fluent in Silence,
Letting its unspoken volumes call out to me,
Thus, anchoring the fragile skiff of my earthly embodiment
In the magnitude of its all-pervading peace.
Through countless immersive repetitions,
I long to master its minimalist soundless language,
Emulating it, silent pause for silent pause,
In the blissful complicity of fully engaged listeners.
I intentionally refrain from interrupting this humble Teacher
Whose gentle whispers snugly nestle in my hungry soul,
Filling it to its current capacity with brilliant gems of wisdom
And recharging it with the shimmering energies of All-That-Is…
When I deep-dive in quietude, I thrive in my I-AM-NESS,
Severing all confusing ties to my bygone I-WAS-NESS.
I become blissfully oblivious to the irrelevant MAY-BEs
That present themselves under the disguise of moody scarecrows,
Animated by the ill intention to cast intimidating shadows on my virgin NOW.
Enthralled by the addictive harmonics of Silence,
My spellbound soul gets a sneak preview of beatitude
And I cannot refrain from clamoring for ‘encores.’
