GRADUAL EMERGENCE
“But the “birth” of religion is not sudden; it is rather a gradual emergence. Nevertheless, sooner or later there is a “birth day.” You do not enter the kingdom of heaven unless you have been “born again”—born of the Spirit.” [UB, 103:2.1]
Thought Adjuster: “Being born of the Spirit is a private matter that was experienced firsthand by Jesus when he initiated his quest to connect with the “Father in him.” For human beings, it marks the onset of eternal life.
A child is born into this world after nine gestational months. However, he determines the timing of his spiritual emergence, which occurs when he consciously acknowledges his divine Indweller and strives to become like him.
“Those who have received and recognized the indwelling of God have been born of the Spirit. You are the temple of God, and the spirit of God dwells in you.”[UB, 34:6.7]. You are the faith sons and daughters of God.
Jesus explained this lengthy evolutive process: “When you enter the kingdom, you are reborn. You cannot teach the deep things of the spirit to those who have been born only of the flesh; first, see that men are born of the spiritbefore you seek to instruct them in the advanced ways of the spirit.” [UB, 141:6.4]
It is certainly cause for much rejoicing in heaven.”
