A HOUSE OF PRAYER OR A DEN OF THIEVES?
“And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, […], and said unto them: “It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”” [Matthew 21:12–13]
Teacher Uteah: “Let us talk about your inner temple--the one referred to by Jesus when He disclosed to those who had ears to hear: “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, ” adding: “On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”
“Do you treat your inner temple and Its Divine Hosts with utter respect or are you mindlessly defiling your House of Prayer in the same sacrilegious manner as the greedy merchants and money changers? It would be very beneficial to ponder this question.
“Would Jesus feel at home in your Inner Sanctum, or would He be appalled by the lower influences you allowed to sneak into your house of prayer? Are there graffiti on its walls? Do you use your indoor voice or do you frequently shout unbecoming obscenities? Do you go within to consult with your Higher Self, making It count in your life decisions, or have you placed It under a permanent gag order to do as you please, even though it is not in your best interest?
“It is never too late for a thorough housecleaning. You have the power to evict the trespassers. Upon your sincere request, Jesus will most surely assist you in that godly task.”
