THE MOST REWARDING APPRENTICESHIP

“Mind. The thinking, perceiving, and feeling mechanism of the human organism. The total conscious and unconscious experience. The intelligence associated with the emotional life reaching upward through worshipand wisdom to the spirit level.” [UB, 0:5.8]

Thought Adjuster: “What differentiates human beings from animals is their self-awareness and ability to ponder mental abstractions—the quality of dealing with ideas rather than events. Why would you enjoy such a privilege? It does point to your calling to Godlikeness—something that many have not yet realized and which keeps them operating at an earthbound animalistic level.

Your mental capacities make you heaven-bound if you put them to their intended use. A spark of the Creator indwells the mind of normal-minded individuals who have the ability to make informed and ethical decisions. It is how they reach upward to hook their wagon to the thought Engine ‘destined to become a part of the personality of the surviving mortal creature.’ [UB, 0:5.9]

It is where wisdom and worship come into play. They are acquired over time. Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and sound judgment. Worship is the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity.

From this perspective, you can understand that accrued wisdom becomes a great contributor to the quality of your worship. Your daily explorations, if well monitored on your part, should be a quest for truth, beauty, and goodness. These values appeal to your soul and your soul spontaneously responds with surges of gratitude toward its Maker. True worship is FELT from a wide-open heart. It is a heart-to-Heart encounter with The One Who activates your heartbeat and makes your emotional heart palpitate.

The Father acknowledges all levels of worship. As you get better at it, you will start experiencing sublime emotions—emotions that are to be found at the very top of the emotional spectrum. You will emotionally commune with Deity, getting a preview of eternal things to come. Isn’t it the most rewarding apprenticeship?”
