STALE OR OVEN-FRESH COOKIES, ANYONE?
"Static truth is dead truth, and only dead truth can be held as a theory. Living truth is dynamic and can enjoy only an experiential existence in the human mind.” [UB 180:5:2]
Thought Adjuster: “Let us elaborate on the above statement by using a metaphor. Let us say you hold in your hands the family recipe for the best snickerdoodles ever. You tasted them in your childhood and still crave them in your adulthood.
“Occasionally, you take the recipe out and mentally put it together. However, it is all that you have done with it so far, and your craving for the delicious cookies has not been satisfied.
“One day, your doorbell rings, and when you open the door, your grandmother is standing at the threshold with a warm tray of these decadent home-baked cookies. She invites you to sample one, and flashbacks of the good old days flood your mind.
“Here is my point. Reading a recipe will never manifest the cookies. However, acting upon it and following it to the letter, will. Sometimes even, you may decide to add a secret ingredient of your own to enhance the sensory experience. The written recipe may provide you with detailed guidelines as to how to replicate these to-die-for pastries. However, you need to IMPLEMENT these instructions to manifest the end result in your experiential reality. As well, through your investment, not only do you actualize these cookies, but you also get to enjoy their sublime tastiness.
“Do not settle for crystalized truth. It may well appeal to you intellectually, but to engage in any worthwhile pursuit, you need to act upon it to yield the fruits of spirit in your life and —like your grandmother—to knock at your fellows’ door to gift them with a kind offering of your freshly home-baked goods, instead of bringing them a batch of hardened of cookies that have become stale, imprisoned as they were in a cookie jar.”
