ARE YOU SPIRITUALLY FRAGRANT?
“Your spiritual destiny is conditioned only by your spiritual longings and purposes.” [UB 155:5]
Thought Adjuster: “How many emotions do you entertain in one day? How would you describe your emotional life: smooth-flowing or chaotic? Do you keep your feelings in check or do they take you by surprise?
“The way you answer these questions will be telling as to your spiritual maturity—not just your emotional state of affairs. Your emotions contribute to your spiritual fragrance. What is their undertone? How do they affect you and others? Do they contain pungent allergens or are they olfactory attractive? Do you subject them to strict quality control or do you release their flawed batches?
“A particular designer fragrance summons the mental picture of someone who wears it. By which scent do you want to be remembered? Most assuredly, you will pick aromatic Love over acrid hate.
“Are your emotions polluting agents that add to an already unpleasant mix, or do they act as air-fresheners? Setting the personal intention to manufacture vibrant feelings will help you define high standards for your inner world—just as Jesus did. It is what it means to be a Christian—a follower of Christ, someone who campaigns for the bright side of the emotional spectrum.
“Dear ones, your quality of life will much improve once you decide to defect on the sunny emotional side and to purge your being from the negative ‘viral’ emotions that are so prevalent right now. Would you rather be remembered by the love you carry in your heart or by the hate you spew? It should be a no-brainer. The choice is forever yours and weighs on your spiritual destiny.”
