ABOUT YOUR FAITH POTENTIAL
“Few persons live up to the faith which they really have.” [UB 556:04]
Thought Adjuster: “The above statement got your attention. Indeed, none of you really fathoms their ‘faith potential’ and many quit before they reach the finish line—the light shining at the end of the tunnel of their tribulations, thus remaining hopelessly stuck in it.
“This is well worth pondering. A deep-sea pearl-diver conditions his lungs to optimally expand their capacity before he dives toward the ocean floor. As well, in order to descend, he has to manage wisely the air release from his lungs in order to acquire sufficient gravity to reach the oysters sitting on the sandy bottom, and yet conserve enough air to make it safely back to the top. Retrieving the pearls of great value and bringing them back with him to the surface is what motivates him to take such risks.
“Dear ones, this is a good metaphor for your frequent ‘dives’ into darker experiential territories. Just as it is darker at the bottom of the ocean, it is nevertheless where the coveted treasures are to be found. This is why the divers are willing to courageously take on the challenge.
“Your life is strewn with pitfalls. Yet, they are not meant to helplessly entrap you. They are more like the hiding places of many spiritual treasures that are yours to claim if you persevere and do not get discouraged by the intimidating scale of the operation. Trust in the fact that it is always commensurate with your ‘need-to-grow’ as well as to your current emotional and spiritual ‘lung-capacity’. Your loving Heavenly Father will vouch for that.”
