KNOW-IT-ALL OR KNOW-IT-LEAST?
“You must cease to seek for the word of God only on the pages of the olden records of theologic authority…. Divine truth must not be discounted because the channel of its bestowal is apparently human.” [UB, Paper 155, Section 6]
Thought Adjuster: “The thought entered your mind that Truth, with a “T” is ALWAYS non-fictional, even when it is embedded in fictional works. This is a weighty realization that each one of you has had opportunities to validate for themselves. Why then are you so stubbornly keeping your minds closed to this type of ongoing personal revelations?
“The Truth cannot be squeezed within the covers of a book. It needs breathing space to stay alive and well. It is of such a magnitude that it would take infinite volumes of Encyclopedia to reveal it to its fullness—an impossibility since the creative process is forever unfolding.
“How much do you know about the truth contained within your own persona? Aren’t you still an enigma to yourself? How then could you satisfy your healthy appetite for truth and understanding? Those who behave as Know-it-all are in great danger of becoming the ‘red lanterns’ of the pack—the Know-It-Least—as their minds are no longer receptive. Indeed, your mind is a receiver/transmitter meant to act as a communication device.
“To those who are open-minded and humbly recognize that there is always more to fathom, the very fact that they are scouting for more answers will act as a fine-tuned Truth Detector that will go off whenever precious tidbits of truth find an inner resonance. Why then would your Master Jesus have said: “Ask and you shall receive.”? This is what your inquisitive little ones constantly do, thus propelling themselves on a steady learning curve in their eagerness to expand their understanding.
“Indeed, most frequently Divine Truth is humanly revealed, as human beings are blessed with ‘inspiration’—the anonymous input of Spirit. Rather than shooting the messengers, ponder the message, as that message could indeed be intended 'for your eyes only' and the one who delivers it is only performing a selfless act of service.”
