MAKE YOUR MOVES TOWARD A HAPPY ENDING
“There is an art in defeat which noble souls always acquire; you must know how to lose cheerfully; you must be fearless of disappointment.” [UB 1779:05]
Thought Adjuster: “If you were to recap your personal history, you would most certainly bring up your best and worst times—the peaks and valleys of your life. The reason they are etched in your memory is that they both played a significant role in shaping your current persona.
“Defeats occur for a variety of reasons. You may have to earn some stripes in self-mastery; you may have to learn to cope with personal disappointment or ‘group defeats,’ as is frequently the case in the political arena. You may feel discouraged and downtrodden by perceived failures or you may use them as catalysts for renewed determination. The choice is yours.
“No matter which difficult scenario you are dealing with, you can transmute it into a personal victory by losing ‘cheerfully,’ thus stopping the debilitating snowball effect of defeat before it fully engulfs you.
“Sadly, many of those living in this world have still to master ‘the art of defeat.’ First of all, they need to stop blaming and resenting the apparent victors of life’s complex chess game. A chess player will admit to a weak move but will right away devise a strategy to cut his losses and regain a sure footing in the game. Indeed, defeat and victory take turn keeping the victor humble and the defeated hopeful.
“Dear ones, whenever your hopes are dashed, let it be a momentary episode. Remain positive and cheerful so as not to pollute the overall emotional environment. Indeed, society has to compensate vibrationally for difficult turns of events. What matters is that you closely monitor your vibrations. Are they detrimental to your and others’ wellbeing? Are you a sore loser, unable to move on? Is your heart set on punishing others—including yourself—for your setbacks? Don’t you see that, by doing so, you are adding to the ‘war casualties’?
“In any given situation, you can—and should—adopt a winning attitude. Move on after extracting the wisdom and learning the lesson! In the end, your outlook will determine whether or not you are making your movestoward a happy ending.”
