TURN STUMBLING STONES INTO STEPPING STONES

Thought Adjuster: “Dear child, whenever you walk in the darkness deprived of the assistance of your eyesight, you have to rely on your other senses to guide you. This is challenging at first and may result in some bodily harm.

“The same goes for your spiritual journey. Jesus spoke of the blind leading the blind and He was referring to the danger of putting your trust in those who have a very limited vision of the spiritual realities--a tunnel vision.

“The only safe way out of the darkness for your soul is to search for the guiding lights of those who are better equipped to travel through the darkness. It is also doing your homework and training your spiritual vision so that its scope can be gradually augmented. As your eyes become used to the darkness, they will eventually become able to distinguish some shapes and to identify what could have turned into stumbling blocks. They will learn to put these stumbling blocks to good use by using them as stepping stones. These are the exact same stones, but by discovering their true purpose, they become practical tools to navigate the challenges of your life.

“Looking back at your life, you come to identify that your greatest challenges were also your greatest achievements as they truly elevated your understanding and led you to be resourceful instead of being stuck in a victim attitude.

“A victim is helpless and this helplessness is the handicap which needs to be overcome. Much assistance is made available to those who sincerely ask. Even though much darkness may still persist in your environment, you can also take advantage of the sounds-- the Celestial voices--to guide you. This is what the Stillness practice is for. The more you go within and focus your spiritual ears, the more you become able to receive the download of inspiration which help you find your way through the most challenging mazes of your physical life.

“It is just as important to overcome spiritual deafness as to overcome spiritual blindness as the one who is both blind and deaf is cut off from both these layers of assistance and truly feels alone. There is no such thing as loneliness in God’s creation and the only loneliness there is, is the loneliness one experiences while trying to be self-sufficient. How could you benefit from the accumulated experience of others if you place a blindfold on your eyes and earplugs in your ears while shouting in anger to the Heavens that you have been abandoned to your sorry plight?

“All it takes is a change in attitude and a heartfelt request for assistance. Many beings are in standby, politely and respectfully waiting for a sincere invitation in order to step in your life with a variety of house warming gifts. The Father has many workers at hand to help you remodel your being, many heavenly decorators with an experienced vision and practical tools to share with you in order to help you open the door and the shutters of your soul so that it can let in the life giving light of truth.

“Become a willing participant in that process and you will experience an amazing quickening of your soul as it stirs out of its self-imposed hibernation. The spring of the soul is a very joyful time, filled with the promises of the spiritual abundance to come whenever one starts actively to cultivate the soil of its soul. It may take some weeding and some tilling of the ground, some plucking off any bad habits. Yet, eventually, the soil will be ready to bring forth the healthy fruits of Spirit and much joy and a sense of great accomplishment will result both for the Gardeners and those living tree in the garden.”
